See us winter walking after a storm,

Hello everyone. Today I am at home, again, because I have realized that what I thought was poisining is probably the stomach flu. I have a low grade fever and have been vomitting and such. One of Clark's co-workers had it and I think he may have carried it home or something. Not fun in the slightest.

Saturday I spent the day working on a paper that isn't due until April 8th. I did this without realizing that I have a paper due this Friday. Oh, boy! I guess that's what I'm going to be spending today and tomorrow doing, if possible. John Patrick was also here Saturday. He and Clark went riding all day, then went up on the parkway and Clark got to drive JP's Mustang. Then I made enchiladas, rice, and veggies for dinner. Although we started off watching "Into the Wild," JP got a little bored so we decided to play risk instead. The game is still set up because I HAVE to take a picture of it. JP and I started by going after Clark, but then Clark knocked JP out of Asia (which is the only country he had). At which time I had South America, JP gave me Europe, and I took over North America thanks to JP going after Clark over there. It was pretty amazing. I have to give myself props. In the end I think JP contained the Asian countries bordering Europe, Clark had African, Australia, and almost all of Asia, and I had NA, SA, and Europe. I actually, thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Yesterday Clark and I got up and went to church. I wasn't feeling too well after our dinner from the previous night, but I thought I could just be tired. Following that we went to a bridal show in Chetola. We weren't actually attending. We offered to help (or, really, we were paid to help) one of Clark's co-workers at Sugar Mtn who is also a preferred travel agent for Sandals. She stuck around for most of it so we got the hang of things, then left early and let us run it. She wanted to get to Sugar because starting at 4pm they were giving away free food. I think I learned more about Sandals and actual wedding planning than I could have ever imagined I would. Apparently, as a travel agent for Sandals, you get sent to resorts twice and year and however many bookings you do gets you a certain amount of free days. If you just feel like going, you get to stay for $25 a night. Not too shabby, huh? I will tell you one thing. Being around wedding dresses, cakes, flowers, and all that jazz was pure torture. It's ok, though. I'll have it some day!

Clark and I stayed at the Bridal show until about 4:30 and got to Sugar around 5pm, just in time. About 30 minutes later they ran out of burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwhiches... all that gross stuff. Still, I got to meet Clark's coworkers, who I'm not so against anymore. Unfortunately there are a select few who I just don't agree with, but I'm trying to work on being prejudice.

Around 5:30 or so while we were at Sugar I got a all from the Dunns. After talking to Susan about this and that, Tim got on the phone and gave me "the news." As soon as he said it wasn't good, I just felt my heart lurch. First Pres, or Dr. Coker, isn't allowing me to go because of my age. Tim said he thinks Dr. Coker had his mind made up and my letter to him did nothing, but c'est la vie. I'm still trying to go, but I just have a feeling God wants me to back down at this point and wait for another opportunity. Watch. Clark said next year he's sure it won't be a problem for me to go, it's just this year. It makes me so angry that JP is allowed to go and I'm not. What if Clark was going? Would I be allowed to go if he was going? I guess life really isn't all that fair.

I don't know if I got sick because of the nasty cafeteria food at Sugar or because I really do have the stomach flu. No worries, though. I know it's nothing else if not stress or sickness. At least after this week we have a small vacation where we get to go see my parents. Then the next weekend Clark drills and I get to see Becca. I'm thankful for having such wonderful, supporting people in my life. I really don't know what I would do without them.

Until next time.

We've all got our junk, and my junk is you!
