Well you'll have to excuse me,

Hello readers. As the title says, you'll have to excuse me. I've been in Columbia all weekend and have been unable to blog. Although this morning is my last morning here (in Columbia, SC), things are a little slower of pace and I am able to take a moment and just write. Wonderful, isn't it? The picture is (L to R) Molly's feet, Clark's feet, and my feet. We were all hanging out yesterday because it was so hot.

Clark and I left Friday after my one morning class for our visit. It was a nice drive until we hit 77 south and got stuck in traffic for an hour. I also must mention that we need new refrigerant for thecar, so we were sitting in traffic with no AC in 89 degree weather. So, when we arrived we were nice and sticky and sweaty. Gross.

This weekend has gone really well. Friday we went out to eat, Saturday we all hung out and that evening went outside and played catch/ frisbee. Sunday we went to church, had Easter dinner, went outside and played pattle ball, and then Mom snuck up with a super soaker so we all ended up getting in to a water fight. We then went for a walk to dry off, and then watched The Pacific on HBO. It truly has been a wonderful time.

Being around family always helps Clark and me. We get a sense of more things we want to do that we haven't been doing, and surprisingly we communicate a lot better around my family. I can't always say we do around his, but here we most definitely do. We tend to talk things out more sensibly. Maybe that's the influence of my parents ;-).

Luna has also thoroughly enjoyed herself. Having someone to play with, or rather having many playmates, is very good for her. She's been exhausted and going to sleep very happily. I think, once we start moving and getting paid by the Marine Corps, we shall have to get Luna a playmate. I have decided we will never be able to have enough animals. They are truly a joy... and, plus, having animals delays having kids.... maybe.

I don't really have a lot to say. I've just been so content this weekend visiting family. Clark and I are leaving today so I can get back and finish homework, but we also may go hiking again tomorrow. The high for Banner Elk is 78 and that's just too beautiful to pass up.

Until next time.

We've all got our junk, and my junk is you!
