Good morning. It's a bit colder today than I want it to be, but I guess it's not up to me, is it? Apparently it's windy and only supposed to be in the fifties... kind of a bummer after a week of amazing weather. Even the rain yesterday was a breather because it felt like spring rain, not winter rain. Does that make sense? I suppose I'm talking too much about the weather, but it is what's on my mind right now, so I can't really help it.
This weekend Clark has to go drill. While my original plan was to drive to Johnson City and visit my bosomest friend Becca and her family, I can no longer do that. Things are too tight, so I'm forced to stay home and face homework that would have been otherwise delayed to next Tuesday. I suppose it's a good thing. I need some house/home time to myself... but that doesn't mean I'm not praying that Becca can come here. I feel so bad for having to consistently go back on my word, but I guess that's what happens when you get married young and funds are tight! C'est la vie. For once, I know she understands. A lot of other people don't.
Well, I've successfully finished my Spanish composition, my African American and Adolescent Literature papers, and I've started my poetry anthology. That still leaves lab homework and the group project for Adolescent Literature, which I cannot really work on without assistance... so I feel like I'm doing pretty well. I also wrote a devotional for RCG yesterday... but I still have to work on my column and another article. Woe is the life of a student writer ;-). Well, not really.
Today I don't have Bio which means I have a 2 hour break in between the two classes that I do have today. Not cool. I just have to keep telling myself that I have to go to Spanish to turn in my composition, and I'll be ok. It's really obnoxious on Fridays because Brent doesn't take attendance and if you're not there he'll just give you what you missed through e-mail or on Monday. I know I need to be there, but if we have weekend plans I always find myself seemingly missing Spanish. At least I know what's going on in there, right?! Right. During my break I may stray from campus to get a couple of other things done. It would be nice if Clark came in to town with me, but I know he can't. He has to unpack and repack all of his gear for this weekend. Not only are they doing a PFT, but they're doing the gas chamber and supposedly going to the field as well. Poor baby. He keeps going on about how the tentative plan was for him to miss this drill, since he would be at MOS. Since that didn't happen, he has to go do all the "hard stuff" he doesn't like. I guess that's the military for you!
I know my posts haven't been very long, but I always seem to pick the most inconvenient times to do them. I have to get ready for class!
Until next time.
We've all got ouf junk, and my junk is you!
