And play out these scenes,

Last night, before GLEE, I convinced Clark to watch Julie & Julia with me... again. We finally bought it as part of my birthday present, so I was intent on watching it as soon as possible. I have found that it's an incredibly motivating movie for writers. While I don't intend on following in Julie's footsteps and picking a cook book to cook my way through in one year, I needed to watch it to remind myself that I have time. After watching it I asked Clark if I was ever going to get a book published, which was a silly question to ask after watching the movie. He said, "Look at the average age of authros these days. Are any of them 21? No. You have plenty of time, sweety." It was definitely encouraging. I think watching the movie gave me another kick in the butt with all that I've been working on for the past few years. It reminded me why I was doing all of which I'm doing, and it reminded me that I can do it-- I just have to keep writing and never stop. I don't want to settle for an everyday job thinking that I have to because my books are never going to get anywhere. They are going somewhere, it just takes time.

Until next time.

We've all got our junk, and my junk is you!
